It Started With a Puppy and a Ruined Rug

Hi, we're Raoul, Sam and Kevin. Three friends, lifelong dog owners, and (more recently) very tired puppy parents.

When we brought our puppy home, we did what everyone does: we bought disposable pee pads. Stacks of them. And our puppy did what most puppies do. He walked right past them and peed everywhere else. The rug. The hallway. The one corner behind the couch we never checked.

We refused to accept that this was just "how it goes." So we dug into the actual problem, and found it wasn't the puppy. It was the pad.

Dogs don't find their bathroom by sight. They find it by smell. A disposable pad smells like nothing, just plastic. To a dog, it isn't a bathroom; it's a weird mat on the floor.
